1998 Vintage Seiko Kinetic 5M42-0H20 "Edge"

Introducing
Seiko Kinetic 5M42-0H20 "Edge"
Circa 1998

The Seiko Kinetic was unveiled at Baselworld 1986, and two years later introduced commentially. The innovative system bring the two worlds of quartz and mechanical movements ever closer, offering the accuracy of quartz with the perpetual energy generation of mechanical automatics.

This timepiece hails from one of the earlier Kinetic series movements, and is presented in a no-nonsense style true to many of Seiko's offerings.

The collector can see much of the Grand Seiko design elements here - multi-faceted hour batons reflect light at all angles to add legibility, clean dauphine hands with slight lume, clear dial design with date window replacing the 3'O hour marker.

The clean and sharp concept of the watch carries throughout the timepiece, exuding a taste of modernity in the Seiko Kinetic Edge that lets you take a second look. Time-tested design and an advanced engine makes this dress watch a collectable.
