[SOLD] 1978 Vintage Citizen Eagle Seven 8200 "Princess"

Introducing
Citizen Eagle Seven 8200 "Princess"
Circa 1978

Collector of Japanese vintage timepieces will be familiar with the Orient AAA, characterised by the three stars on the dial. They would also be familiar with the Seiko 5 and its shield emblem. What's probably less known is the Citizen Watch Company's Eagle Seven.

Citizen's offering is powered by the robust and dependable Miyota 8200 movement, and it's very reliable. Unlike the Seiko 7S26/36, the 8200 can be hand-wound, a very good feature for watch collectors who don't want to shake all their watches every night! (I like to see all of them keeping time).

The Princess is so named because of the choice of pink leather strap to accompany the white painted dial. Unlike the Seiko dials, the white dial on this Citizen watch has a certain texture to it, giving the feel that it wasn't simply pressed out of a factory like and slapped on with glossy paint.

The Eagle emblem sits nicely at 6'O, the number 7 proudly carried on its breast, while pyramid hour markers circle their dial adorned with minute tracks.
